Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Cebollapampa 3900m/12795ft and ascend to the base camp 4650m/15255ft. 3 hours drive and 3 hours walk.
Day 2: Summit attempt and back to base camp. 10 to 12 hours climb for the day.
Day 3: Walk down to the road and drive back to Huaraz. 1½ hours walk and 3 hours drive.
Technical Difficulty & Fitness
1. Ropes are used principally for glacier travel and low-angle snow or ice slopes. Climbing experience is preferred, but not essential.
A. Good fitness, which for most people requires some training, by running, hiking and able to carry your personal climbing gear.
