Huaraz Treks and Climbs was founded by Rodolfo Oropeza in 2010 with one clear purpose: to create personalized hiking, trekking and climbing experiences in the Peruvian Andes.
We are a small Huaraz-based guiding company. Before your trip begins, we take the time to understand your experience, interests and expectations so we can help you choose the right adventure.

Mountain environments demand sound judgement, preparation and experienced leadership. We work with a small team of professionally qualified IFMGA mountain guides and instructors.
Our guides are qualified through the Peruvian Mountain Guides Association, a member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations. They bring strong first-aid skills and extensive local experience across the routes we guide.

Rodolfo fell in love with the Peruvian mountains early in life while working alongside his older brothers, who are also mountain guides.
He has climbed and trekked in Scotland, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina. Today, he enjoys sharing the special places of the Cordillera Blanca, Huascarán National Park and Cordillera Huayhuash with visitors from around the world.

Huaraz Treks and Climbs E.I.R.L. is an officially registered Travel and Tourism Agency with an office in Huaraz, Ancash, and legal registration with SUNAT, Peru’s Tax Administration.
We provide fully supported hiking, trekking and climbing holidays. You carry only a daypack with what you need for the day while our team manages the camp and logistics.
